The global bank will offer comprehensive banking services to FalconX's institutional clients globally. FalconX will integrate Standard Chartered's financial infrastructure and have access to a variety of currency pairs.
The alliance intends to extend beyond banking by providing additional goods and services adapted to the changing demands of institutional clients such as asset managers, hedge funds, token issuers, and payment systems. FalconX's Matt Long applauded Standard Chartered for its forward-thinking approach to digital asset adoption.
Luke Boland of Standard Chartered expressed delight in providing financial infrastructure that allows companies like FalconX to provide high-quality trading and financing services. This engagement is consistent with the bank's ongoing efforts to help the crypto industry, which include a recent agreement with OKX to test cryptocurrency and tokenized fund collateral for institutional investors.
Standard Chartered has been involved in the cryptocurrency market since 2016 it invested in Ripple. The increased bank's commitment to cryptocurrency reflects industry executives' expectations of a global banking push into Bitcoin amid positive regulatory developments.
