Thank you to the community and viewers of Gokhshtein Media for your support as our company has been watching the events unfolding globally around Ukraine and Russia.
We wanted to share our position on media coverage of these events. It's interesting to see how blockchain technology is being discussed in this situation. Rather than jumping on the news and creating clickbait, we decided that due to so much suffering with Ukrainian and Russian families around the world, we would pause our video and Twitter Spaces content creation online during last week. We did this out of respect to the people involved in many areas of the world to the war in Ukraine.
What we have decided as a media company about this situation is this. We will not be celebrating the use of Bitcoin and blockchain technology around war as we see other media companies and competitors doing. In light of the horrendous difficulties others have, we cannot push this aside to celebrate the adoption of blockchain technology. This decision is that although some can benefit from using Bitcoin, many cannot, due to financial infrastructure lacking to have been created before this situation.
On top of this, we know that Bitcoin will be used to fund some negative initiatives, like any other financial tool. Bitcoin and Digital Assets may even be used to avoid sanctions being imposed on Russia in the immediate future. Yet, we will report what content we find relevant and in a respectful manner. We will not compare the price or success of Bitcoin to the situation and suffering as we see other media companies and personalities doing.
It is difficult for us to push our voice in politics for the sake of views, when as a media company we don't directly cover politics. Going forward we will keep in mind the delicate situation unfolding in politics, finance, and humanity being affected around the world. We will strive to report as we always do with unbiased information and some editorial content related to the businesses and people we work with.
Gokhshtein Media will be back to regular content creation tomorrow with a keen eye for tact and respect for global events we are following. We will report this information to you as we see fit from our news, writing and content creation teams. We wish the best for all involved in this ongoing situation and that it ends peacefully. Our hearts go out to those effected and our support to ease suffering will be noted in the following days and weeks.
