This year has been amazing for non-fungible tokens, after Beeple’s auction sold for 69M USD and Justin ‘3LAU’ Blau raised 11M in an Origin Protocol-based, first-of-its-kind leaderboard auction. The Edge Lord, Doge Lord, & Tyrant of Tesla, Elon Music Musk decided he wanted to make a Music NFT.
This wasn’t just any type of NFT, it was a blatant mockery of NFT’s. At the top of the animation, there are words in bold red reading NFT. Below the red text reads blue holographic letters rotating around displaying the characters “Vanity Trophy”.
At the very heart of the NFT therein lies a Rocketship, diamonds, Tentacles, and a Pair of Hands. The song itself has a great mix and master, and the vocals explain exactly what NFT’s are.
The Dark Techno Beat is a perfect placeholder for such a Meme NFT that does nothing significant and represents the value of vanity. In a world where NFT’s can be used for yield-bearing interest deployments, anti-censorship, and data sovereignty; Elon chose to do it for the MEME once again.
Congratulations Elon Dark Techno Music Musk for keeping yourself busy while only keeping your assessment shallow. At the very bottom of his trophy reads, Computers Never Sleep and HODL. Computers Do Sleep, computers need maintenance in large-scale industrial mining operations.
Computers are just like humans in certain regards, they need cooling, energy, and care. Not to mention a nice shutdown after a long streak of workloads. If computers never sleep, then my operating system has lied consecutively.
Elon Musk is a brilliant man, he understands the Dogma he is preaching. Even after omitting the Bitcoin he purchased by allocating 1.5 Billion Dollars of Tesla’s Balance Sheet, he still wants to be a part of something greater without fully co-oping the community at large.
Musk has lambasted Bitcoin on Twitter many times regardless of his corporate decision to invest on behalf of the organization, claiming Bitcoin is almost just as bad as Fiat Currency. Is he coming to the realization of the promise of Smart Contracts?
Regardless, this is a satirical piece that will generate a sale of 420.69 Ethereum for the Flame-throwing Boring Billionaire. It just goes to show, sometimes all it takes is a Loop, a Rocketship, and the Stars..
