Sam Bankman Fried, the founder of FTX cryptocurrency exchange, was accused of leaking the personal diaries of his former girlfriend and Alameda chief, Caroline Ellison.

According to a court filing on July 20, the alleged motive was to discredit Ellison as one of the 'star witnesses' in SBF's upcoming fraud trial.

State attorneys expressed concern over the incident. They requested that parties and witnesses avoid extrajudicial statements that could potentially harm a fair trial.

The leak of Ellison's diaries to the New York Times did not disclose the person who provided the documents. However, the leaked notes revealed Ellison's doubts about her work abilities and her on-off relationship with SBF.
