VanEck launches SegMint, an NFT platform revolutionizing asset fractionalization while ensuring self-custody.
VanEck Launches New NFT Platform SegMint for Digital Assets Holding

VanEck, first in the Bitcoin ETF game, is now entering the NFT space with SegMint. This excellent application allows users to securely store and share digital products. It began in NFT Paris in February 2024, with the goal of changing how we think about tokenized holdings.

Matthew Bartlett, VanEck's NFT and Web3 leader, brings his extensive financial experience and passion for NFTs to the endeavor. SegMint arose from his desire to address common issues such as not holding your assets. VanEck's new project provides a new approach to holding onto assets while allowing them to be split.

SegMint allows you to "lock away" digital discoveries with keys that you may trade on its own market. This method of holding your own allows users to maintain control while receiving all of the benefits, such as airdrops. The platform seeks top-tier NFTs to split, making high-end collections more accessible to everybody.

Looking ahead, Bartlett sees significant opportunities in converting real things such as houses and luxury products into tokens. This would allow us to turn everything from vacation homes to antique vehicles that might be held in parts and traded.

VanEck's Bitcoin ETF has already raised over $272M. SegMint is VanEck's brave foray into leveraging blockchain for a broader spectrum of asset-keeping and management.
